Ragging

  • 1. Ragging is a social crime and the college has set up an anti-ragging committee for its prevention and control.
  • 2. Ragging is a punishable offence as per the supreme court order dated 27.11.2008 referred to S.L.C.2499/06 Kerala university vs council of principal of college and S.L.P. No.24296- 24299\2004, W.P. (C.R.C.) No.173\206 and S.L.P. No.14356\2005. Ragging is totally restricted in the college premises and hostel campus or any other place. Students who are involved in ragging will be rusticated from college and strict disciplinary action will be taken against them.
  • 3. As per section 13 of resolution 7 of MP Universities Act 1973, in case of breach of discipline in college campus or outside, the following provisions of punishment are made for the student found guilty – Suspension from the classes – Rustication from the college Rustication on appearing from university exams Anti-ragging
  • 4. As per the instructions of the Higher Education Department of MP state government, the college should practice zero tolerance policy against ragging. Therefore, senior students are expected not to behave undesirably in any form, with junior students.
  • 5. It is mandatory for all students of this college to adhere to the rules meted out by the government regarding ANTI RAGGING which must be followed as per changes made from time to time.
